  • 1. Get 3x 4" knotted wire wheels, 3x 4" crimped wire wheels, 3x 3" knotted cup brushes and 3x 3" crimped cup brushes in one set — three sizes and two wire types, so you can switch between heavy rust removal and light surface finishing without buying separate brushes. Fits 4-1/2" angle grinders with a 5/8"-11 arbor.
  • 2. Standard 5/8"-11 UNC threaded arbor threads directly onto most 4-1/2" angle grinders by hand — no adapters, no special tools. The threaded mount seats flat against the spindle for a wobble-free fit, so the brush runs true at speed instead of chattering against the workpiece.
  • 3. 0.020" knotted wire and 0.014" crimped wire are locked in place by a thickened double holding plate, keeping each brush balanced up to 12,500 RPM. This structure reduces wire breakage and fly-off during heavy pressure work, so the brush holds its shape through repeated rust and weld cleaning jobs.
  • 4. Built for auto body repair, welding shops and metal fabrication: strip rust from frames and panels, remove weld slag and spatter, clean scale before painting, and prep bare metal for powder coating. The 4" wheels handle flat surfaces and edges, while the 3" cup brushes reach into corners and tight welds.
  • 5. Confirm your grinder: this set fits 4-1/2" angle grinders with a 5/8"-11 threaded arbor. Let the wires do the work and avoid heavy downward pressure to extend brush life. Always wear safety goggles and gloves, and keep the grinder under 12,500 RPM. Store brushes in a dry place between jobs.
