  • Size - Metric Thread Size: M20 x 0.5; Outer Diameter: 38mm / 1.5"; Thickness: 12mm / 0.47"; Cutting Direction: Right Hand; Style: Adjustable Die. The round die can process, correct, or clean external threads.
  • Material - Metric dies are made of 6542 (M2) high-speed steel with high hardness and toughness, ensuring rigidity and stability during processing. They are wear-resistant, have high torque, and have excellent cutting performance, making them very suitable for repair and maintenance work.
  • Features - Conical lock hole, strong locking force, not easy to loosen. Grease the surface to prevent rust, clear threads, and easy maintenance. In addition, the thread die is easy to use and can be used with the die stock (also called die handle or die wrench). It should be reversed every 1/4 to 1/2 turn to facilitate the discharge of chips from the chip removal hole.
  • Applications - Perfect for re-threading existing threads in hard materials like metal and making new threads in soft materials such as plastic. Use for general thread processing of stainless steel, aluminum alloy, cast iron, copper, iron, aluminum, and plastic. It is very suitable for maintenance and repair work of pipes, plates, and machinery.
  • Note - Proper lubricating oil should be added to the cutting edge of the die When tapping. The end of the bar should be chamfered 1*45 degrees to avoid excessive chamfering that makes cutting difficult. The diameter of the bar should be smaller than the required nominal diameter of the thread to avoid cutting difficulties that may damage the die teeth.
