About this item

  • Hex bolts are the most common construction fastener having a hex head that can be secured with a socket or wrench and mated with a nut or another internally threaded item.
  • Hex heads have 6 sides and a wide bearing surface with a high tensile and can be turned with a socket or a wrench.
  • External hex drives can be turned with an adjustable wrench, combination wrench and 6- or 12-point sockets and offers high torque transfer.
  • The vast majority of stainless steel fasteners are produced with metals from the austenitic family. Their high levels of chromium and nickel provide tough corrosion resistance and the ability to withstand considerable physical strain without fracturing, albeit at a higher cost than the martensitic varieties.
